Dry Tarn lies a few yards off the path up the eastern flank of Great Gable from Styhead Pass. Upon my visit it was, as expected, dried up - just a patch of stones covered in dry, blackened mosses and lichens. I suspect it does contain a little water on occasions but probably dries up very quickly.

However, it's named on the map so I had to pay it a visit.
