Kirkfell Tarn lies on the saddle between the two summits of Kirk Fell. It is an long, narrow tarn with steep sides and no little beaches. There is a smaller, shallow tarn just to the south yet there is no connection between them on the surface. The smaller tarn dries out after a spell of dry weather. The tarns can be found adjacent to the path between Kirk Fell and Beck Head. |
