Collectively known as Three Tarns,, these are to be found high up on the col between Bow Fell and Crinkle Crags. They are quite small, indeed after a spell of dry weather the name ought to be "Two Tarns and a damp patch". They are at the meeting point of footpaths from Eskdale, Wrynose Pass (via Crinkle Crags), Esk Hause (via Bow Fell) and Great Langdale.

Not impressive in themselves, their attraction is the location - with outstanding views of the Langdale Pikes to the east and the Scafells to the west, Bow Fell to the north and Crinkle Crags to the south.
