Windermere is a glaciated ribbon lake, and is the largest natural lake in England. It stretches from the centre of the Lake District almost down to the sea at the Leven Estuary. Being so large it is difficult to photograph the entire lake, so it is better to concentrate on sections of it or details. Access to the lake shore is limited, with much of it being private land but that which there is offers some good vantage points.
