Launchy Tarn (or Launchy Gill Tarn, to differentiate from the other Launchy Tarn at Dalehead) is little more than a 20 foot swelling in the width of Launchy Gill Beck. It may be found by striking out roughly north-north-west from Harrop Tarn. Apparently it is more attractive a tarn than the description implies - I'll find out one day. |
